Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, identifying client needs and developing appropriate interventions.

• Create tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families, addressing their unique challenges and goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and fostering a supportive environment.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, ensuring goals are met and adjusting plans as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide integrated care for clients.

• Assist clients’ families and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, enhancing the support system around patients.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Manage referrals appropriately, connecting clients with necessary resources and services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including adults, adolescents, and families facing an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Understanding underlying physical health conditions and their impact on mental health is crucial, as is a commitment to providing culturally competent care that respects the individual needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Washington State.

• Passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, for effective documentation and client management.

• In-depth understanding of prescribed medications and their effects, aiding in comprehensive client assessments.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, vital for effective client interactions and collaboration with colleagues.

• Experience with both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
