Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial consultations, performing mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological status.

• Create individualized treatment plans that outline therapeutic goals and interventions for clients across diverse backgrounds, including individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual therapy sessions aimed at encouraging self-exploration and personal growth.

• Lead group therapy sessions, fostering a safe environment that promotes shared experiences and peer support.

• Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and circumstances.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed of clients' hospital admissions by maintaining follow-up communication with attending physicians.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies for overcoming them, particularly focusing on family involvement and caregiver support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse array of clients in the Boston area, including adolescents, adults, and families grappling with various mental health conditions. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in assisting those facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction disorders, among other challenges. Understanding the unique cultural and socio-economic backgrounds of our clients will enable you to provide culturally competent and effective therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Completion of relevant national examinations, with a pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document patient interactions and treatment plans.

• Demonstrated knowledge of various treatment modalities and evidenced-based practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of professional experience in mental health counseling with demonstrated success in therapeutic settings.

• Experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders, including both physical health conditions and mental health issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of psychopharmacology and the impact of medications on mental health treatment.

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities.

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, alongside a generous sign-on bonus for incoming candidates.
