You will engage directly with patients in an onsite capacity, providing hands-on therapy and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and establish personalized goals.
• Provide one-on-one physical therapy sessions, dedicating time to each patient during 40-minute appointments.
• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies, focusing on improving movement, mobility, and overall physical function.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs to enhance strength, balance, and coordination, while motivating patients to achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring all treatment plans are adjusted based on their evolving needs.
• Consult with multi-disciplinary health professionals to coordinate care and share insights on patient treatments.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and self-management techniques to promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Utilize the Athena Health electronic medical record (EMR) system for accurate documentation and efficient patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Care Medical, you will primarily work with a diverse array of patients, including competitive athletes and individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Our facility mainly serves patients with commercial insurance, along with those opting for private pay services. You will play a crucial role in empowering these individuals to regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate (MS or DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Virginia State license in Physical Therapy is mandatory for practicing in our facility.
• At least one year of hands-on experience in an outpatient physical therapy or orthopedic setting is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients of all backgrounds.
• Proficiency in current therapeutic techniques and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A passion for enhancing patient outcomes and a drive to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a sports medicine setting is a strong advantage, allowing for a deeper understanding of athlete-centric physical rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
