Work Environment

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work onsite at our rehabilitation center, equipped with the latest technologies and facilities to enhance patient recovery. You will typically work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced life outside the therapy realm while still addressing the growing demand for orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical abilities, creating individualized treatment plans that align with their personal recovery goals.
• Manage a select patient caseload, ensuring dedicated attention and customized therapy tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Implement advanced orthopedic therapy techniques and manual therapy modalities, drawing from your clinical expertise to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize cost-effective treatment modalities to enhance mobility and function, educating patients about their conditions and the benefits of active recovery.
• Focus on non-surgical alternatives and holistic approaches to minimize reliance on medication, fostering a spirit of healthy, sustainable practices.
• Create and adapt comprehensive care plans that integrate a wide range of treatment strategies, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Provide motivational support and encouragement throughout the treatment journey, building rapport and trust with each patient.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness using outcome measures and adjust plans as necessary, ensuring that care remains effective and relevant.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in our EMR system to reflect all services provided and monitor patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic caters primarily to adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Patients range from athletes looking to regain their performance ability to individuals seeking recovery from surgeries such as joint replacements and fractures. Your role as an OPT will directly impact their rehabilitation journey, guiding them back to their daily routines, recreational activities, and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess a valid, active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Exhibit a clean professional record without any history of disciplinary actions or sanctions against your license.
• Demonstrated mastery of various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Competence in using electronic medical records (EMR), with a preference for experience with WebPT software.
• Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting.
• Familiarity with the latest rehabilitation technologies and techniques, allowing for innovative treatment approaches.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
