Work Environment

This role will be performed onsite, primarily through home care visits in the local community, allowing the therapist to provide tailored services directly in the patient's living environment. You will have the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a predictable schedule that allows for work-life balance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of each patient's physical abilities and limitations to establish individualized treatment plans.
• Implement approved treatment protocols based on the latest research, clinical guidelines, and individual patient assessments to enhance recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary based on evolving patient needs.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, their families, and caregivers to educate them on the rehabilitation process and set realistic goals.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient outcomes, address challenges, and collaborate on care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will provide care to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, fractures, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will not only help in alleviating pain but also in restoring mobility and function, enabling patients to return to their daily activities and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida and CPR certification are mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems for documenting patient care and outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in outpatient or home care settings.
• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary teamwork in a healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits
