Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including assessing medical histories and performing thorough physical assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families about evaluation findings and involve them in goal-setting for their rehabilitation journey.
• Implement treatment protocols effectively, adapting strategies based on patient progress and feedback while staying aligned with contemporary healthcare practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, documenting any changes in patient conditions that necessitate adjustments to treatment plans.
• Oversee discharge planning and ensure that follow-up care is set, meticulously documenting all patient interactions and progress to maintain high standards of care.
• Maintain an efficient schedule by effective time management while consistently meeting productivity expectations, contributing to our team's overall success.
• Participate in marketing activities to promote our services within the community, highlighting the benefits of home health therapy.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging in continuing education and serving as a mentor for students and new staff.
• Enhance patient experience by adapting care strategies that meet their unique and evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. By providing personalized physical therapy treatments in their home environments, you will not only address their physical rehabilitation needs but also empower them mentally and emotionally during their recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions by the licensing board.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques crucial for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software to track and document patient care progress effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health physical therapy, particularly engaging with orthopedic patients.
• Hands-on experience with diverse rehabilitation techniques, including post-operative recovery protocols.
• Knowledge of community resources and programs that can assist in patient care and recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
