Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individualized physical therapy treatment programs focusing on restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability for patients with orthopedic conditions.
• Evaluate patients' needs by conducting thorough assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to treatment plans and delivery of high-quality care.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive technological interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding physical therapy processes, ensuring they understand their programs and how to maximize their outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, preparing clinical records that reflect treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to established protocols.
• Conduct functional assessments in patients' homes, recommending modifications to their environments to enhance independence and safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those suffering from musculoskeletal injuries, and individuals seeking rehabilitation post-trauma. You will employ evidence-based practices to ensure each patient's recovery path is optimized, leading to improved mobility and functionality within their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee in Florida is required.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is necessary.
• Current CPR certification is a must.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with community and home health resources is advantageous.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
