Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Develop individualized and group treatment plans based on clinical assessments, taking into consideration clients' unique backgrounds, challenges, and goals.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying various therapeutic techniques to foster open communication and promote meaningful change.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout their therapy journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to support optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to create comprehensive care plans for clients, particularly those in crisis or requiring additional medical attention.

• Provide psychoeducation to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to support their loved ones in managing mental health issues.

• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for accurate documentation and efficient tracking of client care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse client population experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction-related issues. Your compassionate and client-centered approach will be crucial in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that fosters healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of psychotherapy techniques, modalities, and best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Minimum of two years of direct experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.

• Experience with various mental health diagnoses, including addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams in developing comprehensive treatment plans for diverse client populations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for clear documentation and effective collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
