Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for new clients, documenting all findings and observations to inform ongoing treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with best practices in psychotherapy and address the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate therapy sessions, utilizing both individual and group modalities to promote healing and growth.

• Utilize evidence-based approaches to assess client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure a cohesive plan of care for each client.

• Manage client referrals to external services, track outcomes, and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the client's care.

• Work closely with families and caregivers, providing education and support to help them navigate mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated clinical competencies through previous experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient case management and documentation.
\n
• Strong understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal abilities and a compassionate demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a community health setting or with a diverse client population.

• Prior exposure to multidisciplinary team collaboration in a clinical environment.

• Training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
