Key Responsibilities\n

The primary duties of the Mental Health Counselor include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough intake assessments to understand clients’ mental health histories and needs.

• Creating customized treatment plans that are tailored to individuals, integrating various therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.

• Delivering one-on-one therapy sessions using telehealth platforms, ensuring clients receive care that overcomes accessibility challenges.

• Establishing clear therapeutic goals and tracking client progress effectively to ensure goal achievement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling center serves a diverse range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid state license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental perspective when assisting clients.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of experience in counseling, particularly in telehealth settings, will be highly regarded. Experience engaging with marginalized communities or specific populations, such as adolescents, LGBTQ+ individuals, or veterans, is also a plus.

A Better You Psychological and Counseling Center offers a competitive compensation package, with annual salaries ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 based on caseload and experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide:
