Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, contract position offers a consistent schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, running from late July through May, including pre-planning days.

You’ll be working with a manageable caseload of no more than ten students, primarily within grades K-2, with occasional engagement in upper grades if needed. The students assigned to this role currently present no significant behavioral challenges, and there are no anticipated toileting responsibilities, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional instruction and support.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active GaPSC Teaching Credential
• P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement (minimum requirement)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional techniques to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, regularly updating records and sharing feedback
• Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student in your care
