Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility, where we cater primarily to patients recovering from orthopedic issues, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. The day-to-day atmosphere is collaborative and supportive, promoting a strong team dynamic. As a full-time Physical Therapist, your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the unique objectives and rehabilitation needs of each patient through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one individual per hour, ensuring focused and individualized treatment plans.
• If applicable, draw from your experience in orthopedic outpatient settings to develop and administer effective, evidence-based therapy sessions.
• Utilize cost-effective therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility, while minimizing the need for medication and promoting non-surgical recovery options.
• Create and implement detailed treatment plans that leverage a variety of therapeutic techniques, tailored to each patient's specific condition and goals.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness regimens that foster recovery and prevent further injury, aligning with patients' lifestyles and capacities.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, providing both physical and emotional encouragement to enhance their overall functionality.
• Regularly monitor progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness, maintaining clear and consistent communication with patients and their families.
• Document all therapeutic services provided in accordance with standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and integrate holistic treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic pain, and individuals seeking rehabilitation following injuries. Your role will empower these clients to regain their independence and enhance their mobility. Each patient deserves tailored care, which means your understanding of their progression and individual circumstances will be crucial in shaping their treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is required.
• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• No prior record of board or disciplinary actions on your license is expected.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in developing and implementing clinically effective exercise programs.
• Adept in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation facility, focusing on orthopedic outpatient care is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy is preferred.
• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques that enhance patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
