This is an onsite role based in our newly equipped rehabilitation facility located in Alexandria. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions, establishing individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and increase mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking responses to treatment, and modifying plans as necessary to achieve optimal therapeutic goals.
• Train patients, their families, and other care team members on the proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of care protocols.
• Stay updated with advancements in physical therapy practices by participating in educational workshops and integrating new techniques into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse patient population, including children and adults recovering from a wide range of health issues. You will work closely with individuals who may have experienced orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, or long-term mobility challenges. Your expertise will enable you to address their unique rehabilitation needs effectively, guiding them toward improved functional capabilities and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Flexibility to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in a rehabilitation setting.
• Prior experience with specific therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, aquatics, or sports rehabilitation is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
