Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a supportive and engaging atmosphere. You will interact directly with patients in a clinical setting from Monday to Friday, providing therapies that are crucial for recovery and sustainment of mobility. This onsite role emphasizes a hands-on approach, allowing you to make meaningful impacts on the lives of our clients daily.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct and implement patient-specific treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain according to the established plan of care.
• Evaluate the client's physical condition using diagnostic tests to assess muscle strength, range of motion, and functional abilities.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises, including manual therapies (traction, massage) and functional activities to enhance client independence.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants to ensure consistent and effective treatment delivery; provide training and supervision as required.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting observations and adjusting care plans as necessary to align with the client's evolving needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations regarding patient care.
• Educate clients and their families about therapeutic devices and the overall treatment process to promote adherence and understanding.
• Prepare detailed clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with company policies.
• Engage with community resources to assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve an outpatient population that includes individuals recovering from surgical procedures, managing chronic conditions, or adjusting to new physical limitations. You will provide compassionate, focused care tailored to the unique circumstances and goals of each client, empowering them to regain independence and functional capability in their lives.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid license to practice in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
• A fervent commitment to clinical excellence and adherence to ethical practice standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years' experience is preferred, ideally within outpatient settings or related areas. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in contemporary physical therapy techniques and methodologies that drive successful patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

Symbria Rehabilitation Center offers competitive salaries ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
