Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and current mental health needs, identifying the appropriate treatment approaches tailored to their individual circumstances.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), continually adapting techniques to meet patient needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient, facilitating well-rounded treatment approaches.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as necessary, providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and external resources available to aid in their recovery journey.

• Maintain strict adherence to legal and ethical standards through accurate and confidential documentation of patient records.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities, emphasizing the importance of trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and therapeutic advancements in trauma treatment, incorporating these findings into practice as applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve individuals dealing with complex trauma, including those exhibiting symptoms related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), dissociative disorders, and other trauma-related mental health challenges. By recognizing the unique experiences of each patient, you help foster resilience and provide them with the necessary tools to navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related field is preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and practice in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain calm and take measured action in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
