Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in a home care setting, where you will be visiting patients in their residences across Fredericksburg. Working in home care provides the unique opportunity to see the patient's daily environment, allowing you to create personalized and effective therapy interventions. You will work Monday to Friday with a manageable schedule, either 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, enabling a work-life balance while contributing positively to your community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations related to their health care needs.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific goals and progress measurements.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as exercise programs, stretching techniques, and manual therapy, to alleviate discomfort and rehabilitate physical function.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure therapeutic objectives are being met.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, empower them with knowledge on self-management strategies, and inform them about the use of assistive devices.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and innovations by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various ailments, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. By delivering individualized care, you will play a pivotal role in restoring their mobility and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is necessary to practice.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and general computer skills.
• A flexible and agile mindset, adapting to varying patient needs on a day-to-day basis.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health or community-based rehabilitation therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer an extensive benefits package that includes:
