Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where we provide tailored physical therapy services to a diverse range of patients. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources to facilitate optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing their medical history, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings.
• Communicate evaluation results and collaboratively develop treatment plans with patients and their families, ensuring engagement in goal-setting.
• Implement patient-specific treatment protocols based on clinical evaluations and the latest best practices in physical therapy.
• Consult with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals as necessary, recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions that may require modifications to care plans.
• Manage discharge planning and transition care effectively, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation that reflects the patient's progress and care journey.
• Maintain efficient time management and productivity according to departmental goals, including active participation in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and compliance with regulatory standards, while taking initiative for your own continuing education and professional development.
• Foster a positive patient experience by demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to patient needs, enhancing access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating from injuries. Your approach will be grounded in empathy and clear communication, providing the support needed to help patients regain their strength and mobility. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each patient, you will tailor interventions to meet their individual needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of New Jersey is required.
• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage patients and work effectively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation and knowledge of contemporary treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.
