Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our rehabilitation center in the serene setting of Walden, New York, a community known for its picturesque landscapes and accessible amenities. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a facility designed for rehabilitation, equipped with advanced technologies and resources to support effective patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of vital tasks that contribute to improved patient outcomes, including:

• Evaluating and developing tailored treatment plans for an average of 7 patients per day, focusing on their unique challenges and mobility goals.
• Providing clear, empathetic communication to patients and their families, actively answering questions and guiding them through the rehabilitation process.
• Supporting patients in adhering to prescribed treatment plans, monitoring their progress, and adjusting therapies as needed to enhance recovery.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Managing documentation and case notes efficiently to reflect patient progress and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid New York State Physical Therapist License.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; additional qualifications such as a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a clinical rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will also have experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of the rehabilitation process and the unique needs of diverse patient populations. Experience with specialized tools and rehabilitation techniques is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
