Work Environment

The position is onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, designed to create a welcoming and healing atmosphere for both patients and staff. You'll work in a structured setting that prioritizes patient recovery with a staff-oriented approach, allowing for ongoing collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical doctors. The facility is designed to accommodate a variety of patient needs, ensuring comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized treatment plans for up to 7 patients per shift, focusing on their specific recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies in physical therapy to help patients regain strength, mobility, and functionality.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic processes and expected milestones, effectively communicating updates and managing expectations.
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and standards, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to clinical best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients vary widely in terms of age, diagnoses, and care needs, focusing primarily on individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility. As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will encounter diverse cases, allowing you to utilize a broad range of therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's specific condition—from post-operative care to rehabilitation following strokes or severe injuries.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; however, candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are preferred.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in a rehabilitation setting or similar healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

We highly value additional qualifications such as specialties in orthopedic physical therapy or neurological rehabilitation, as well as experience using advanced therapeutic modalities. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will also be beneficial for maintaining patient documentation and workflow efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience and expertise.
