Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Port Saint Lucie rehabilitation center, where you will work in a dynamic, supportive, and team-oriented environment. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, fostering a structured yet flexible schedule. The center encapsulates a holistic approach to physical therapy, focusing on creating a warm and encouraging atmosphere that motivates patients throughout their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing varied therapeutic techniques that address each patient's specific needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' conditions and determine effective interventions.
• Administer cost-effective physical therapy modalities that optimize patients' range of motion and restore mobility.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journeys, encouraging them to achieve their personal health and fitness goals.
• Maintain an individualized patient load of one patient per hour to ensure focused and high-quality care.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate findings with both patients and healthcare team members.
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to create interdisciplinary treatment strategies.
• Promote non-surgical treatment alternatives and strategies to minimize reliance on medications for pain management.
• Engage in continuous monitoring of patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on orthopedic outpatient cases. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions seeking to improve their physical functioning. Your work will directly influence their pain management, mobility, and overall health, encompassing a range of ages and physical abilities. The emphasis will be placed on encouraging a proactive approach to health and wellness, empowering patients to take charge of their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate (MPT or DPT) is preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida without any disciplinary actions on record.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and capable of designing and implementing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as WebPT is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Experience in creating and managing specialized fitness programs tailored to individual patient conditions.
