The Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. Work Environment\n

You will be part of a dynamic team focused on outpatient care, working remotely while also having the opportunity to conduct in-person sessions in our outpatient office as required. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in-home or at our outpatient center, tailoring approaches based on the child’s specific needs and family dynamics.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that emphasize anger management, coping mechanisms, social skills enhancement, and the reduction of high-risk behaviors, including self-injury and aggression.
\n
• Guide families and caregivers in developing effective decision-making skills to manage and overcome in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Engage in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, sharing insights and strategies to provide comprehensive support for each child and family unit.
\n
• Document all client interactions promptly and accurately, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing observations and recommendations aimed at improving service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves children aged 3-20 with a range of developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work with families who require tailored support to enhance their children’s emotional and behavioral well-being. Being bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is highly encouraged, as it allows for improved communication and rapport building with diverse families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is a prerequisite for this position.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours of 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend flexibility as an advantage.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions in a therapeutic setting.

• Prior experience working with children and teens, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for any required in-home visits.
\n
• Willingness to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, as part of the hiring process.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
