Work Environment

Situated in the heart of Livingston, New Jersey, our rehabilitation facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and treatment modalities. Our onsite environment promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals and strengthens our commitment to creating a patient-centered care experience. Your work schedule will generally be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet fulfilling workweek.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with a range of orthopedic injuries and conditions, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment strategies based on individual assessments, utilizing evidence-based approaches to maximize recovery potential.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, and other therapeutic interventions to facilitate optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment regimens as needed to reflect changing conditions or patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention measures to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, ensuring a focus on both recovery and the prevention of future injuries.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist (PT) license in New Jersey.
• A minimum of three years of experience in physical therapy, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic care, outpatient settings, and geriatrics.
• Proficient skills in orthopedic assessment, treatment planning, and execution of therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A robust ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, managing multiple caseloads with professionalism.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or specialized orthopedic techniques will be viewed favorably. Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
