Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Muscle Care Orthopedic Clinic, based in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position operates onsite within our orthopedic outpatient center, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. Working in home care settings, you will have the opportunity to deliver personalized care in the comfort of patients' homes when required. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address individual goals, preferences, and needs.
• Help patients manage a caseload with individual one-on-one treatments, ensuring optimal patient attention and effectiveness.
• Utilize evidence-based methods and proven techniques to improve patients' mobility and overall function.
• Incorporate a range of therapies, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities into treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and outcomes using EMR software like WebPT.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery process, fostering a positive and empowering therapeutic relationship.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients.
• Continuously evaluate patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with current research and best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, and soft tissue injuries. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, which may include seniors, athletes, and those with chronic pain issues. This variety provides you with the opportunity to apply your skills across a broad spectrum of cases, making a significant impact on the daily lives of your patients.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated excellence in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Strong professional reputation with no history of disciplinary issues.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with post-surgical rehabilitation, especially related to common orthopedic procedures.
• Experience in developing fitness and wellness programs that enhance patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year , commensurate with experience.
