Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories and performing specialized assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Develop and explain individualized treatment plans to patients and their families, incorporating their input into goal setting for a collaborative therapeutic process.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, demonstrating expertise in adjusting tactics to meet the evolving needs of patients.
• Consult with multidisciplinary team members as needed and recognize changes in patients' conditions that require modification of care plans or additional medical consultation.
• Document each patient's course of care effectively, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans, to provide clear communication and continuity in treatment.
• Participate in marketing and outreach activities within the community to promote our services and improve access to care.
• Contribute to departmental goals by adhering to regulations and engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with professional development through continuing education, offering clinical instruction to nursing students or interns where applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license issued by the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits
