Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate an individual’s mental health and substance abuse needs, utilizing standardized tools and evidence-based methodologies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, continuously reviewing progress with clients.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adopting appropriate therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring compliance with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to devise holistic treatment strategies.

• Participate actively in case reviews and treatment planning meetings, providing insights based on clinical assessments and evidence-based outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and crisis management protocols.

• Stay informed on current trends, research, and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment, and apply this knowledge to improve client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work primarily with adults and adolescents facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance abuse. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and the counselor will need to tailor their approaches to meet each individual's cultural and personal circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Massachusetts is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 90,000, reflecting experience and qualifications.
