Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations of clients' mental and emotional health, utilizing a variety of techniques tailored to individual needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive psychosocial assessments, current evidence-based practices, and documented client goals. Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and client interactions, in compliance with departmental and legal standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance treatment plans, ensuring that the holistic needs of clients are met. Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training sessions, workshops, and community outreach programs to raise mental health awareness. Provide crisis intervention when necessary, following established protocols while ensuring the safety and support of clients. Patient Population / Client Focus The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. Our approach focuses on fostering resilience and empowering individuals to navigate their unique challenges. Clients may come from diverse backgrounds and may present with complex co-occurring disorders, requiring a tailored, empathetic, and culturally competent approach to therapy. Qualifications A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an outpatient mental health setting is essential. Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and various software programs, including MS Office, to document and manage client interactions effectively. Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work self-directed, and communicate cohesively within a virtual team environment. Preferred Experience While the minimum qualifications involve experience in outpatient care, candidates with specialized skills in trauma-informed care, family therapy, or experience with diverse populations will be looked upon favorably.
