Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health status through interviews, observations, and testing, ensuring accurate diagnoses.

• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic plans that outline objectives and interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

• Provide ongoing, regular therapy sessions – both individual and group – to clients, fostering a supportive and safe environment for open discussions.

• Monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to effectively address emerging concerns or challenges.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and referrals when appropriate.

• Educate clients on coping techniques and skills to help them manage their conditions effectively and improve their quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will involve working with a diverse array of clients, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. A deep understanding of various mental health conditions, combined with a compassionate approach, will enable you to cater to the distinct needs of each person you serve. Your insights into cultural competence will be instrumental in building rapport and trust with clients, fostering an environment of healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• At least four years of direct experience in a mental health counseling setting, demonstrating competence in managing various psychological issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
