Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather their mental health history and document the relevant information from initial consultations through to therapy conclusion.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral states, assessing their needs and developing recovery goals.
\n
• Create individualized treatment plans along with intervention strategies aimed at both individual clients and group settings, accommodating various circumstances, such as family dynamics and couples therapy.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methodologies to facilitate meaningful dialogue and personal growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress in relation to their treatment plans, adapting strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to contribute to integrated care strategies for clients needing comprehensive support.

• Follow-up with hospitalized clients, ensuring continuity of care and support during transitions between different levels of treatment.

• Assist clients in identifying and mitigating behaviors that could hinder their recovery journey, while providing education and resources to families and caregivers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at North Oasis Behavioral Health Center, you will primarily work with a varied population of clients facing a range of mental health conditions. These may include anxiety disorders, depression, substance use issues, trauma-related symptoms, and family challenges. Your role is crucial in fostering resilience and positive outcomes in these vulnerable populations, using a tailored approach that respects each individual's unique circumstances and treatment needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• You must possess current and valid licensure in the state of California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.

• Successful completion of the NCE, NCMHCE, or equivalent licensure exams.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting as a mental health counselor, ensuring familiarization with various therapeutic practices.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and seamless communication of client information.

• Experience working with various mental health and addiction disorders, along with comfort in managing complex emotional and behavioral health issues.

• Knowledge of best practices as per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and understanding the medical impact of prescribed treatments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, reflective of your experience and expertise in the field.
