Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and outline personalized treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience.

• Provide advanced therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate support and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and accessible resources in the community.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, focusing on clients who have encountered varying forms of trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting preferred.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in therapeutic approaches addressing trauma, including experience with evidence-based therapies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude toward clients.

• A capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring effective crisis intervention.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, additional experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and conducting community outreach to promote mental health awareness will be beneficial. Familiarity with local mental health resources in the Houston area is also an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
