Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote telehealth setting, allowing you the independence to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while still feeling connected to our dedicated team. Our remote infrastructure is equipped with modern technology that facilitates seamless interactions and comprehensive support for both therapists and patients. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and tailor effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, employing best practices in mental health care.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group sessions.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, offering immediate assistance during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous records of patient care and therapy sessions in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives centered on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and clinical practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is on serving individuals affected by various forms of trauma, particularly those confronting challenges related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a mental health therapist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding these patients through their recovery journey, using trauma-informed approaches that honor their experiences and foster healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• Strong knowledge base of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in maintaining documentation through electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Compassionate, non-judgmental approach coupled with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to remain composed and resourceful in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy in a clinical setting.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
