Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document findings to inform ongoing treatment.

• Design and develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients, including individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychotherapy sessions, both individually and in groups, employing various therapeutic modalities and approaches based on established best practices.

• Monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as clients evolve through their recovery journeys.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including social workers and physicians, to devise integrated treatment plans that consider psychiatric assessments and medical histories.

• Proactively manage referrals to other specialists and maintain consistent communication regarding client care.
\n
• Engage with families and caregivers to provide support and strategies for managing mental health challenges.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that obstruct recovery, implementing preventative strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health counseling and evidence-based practices to ensure the delivery of superior care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, including individuals from different backgrounds, ages, and with various mental health conditions. You will encounter clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship difficulties, which requires a tailored approach to meet each person’s unique needs. Understanding the complexities of these conditions and their impact on overall well-being is essential for supporting effective recovery pathways.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, highlighting your capacity to manage diverse clinical scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to ensure efficient client management and documentation.

• Expertise in handling co-occurring disorders, as well as familiarity with the effects of prescribed medications on client symptoms.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on active listening and empathy.

• Experience in providing therapy to clients with substance use disorders and concurrent mental health issues.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.

• Understanding of cultural competencies and the ability to work with clients from marginalized communities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Robina Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
