Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations by performing detailed preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories.

• Assess the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients through the administration of appropriate psychological instruments and interviews.
\n
• Develop and implement effective intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to promote client progress.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on client feedback and clinical insights.
\n
• Collaborate with a diverse team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to provide integrated care.
\n
• Manage referrals to specialized services as necessary, ensuring clients have access to ongoing support and resources.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in addressing behavioral challenges, enhancing their ability to contribute to the client’s recovery.

• Document all aspects of client care in electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychiatric disorders. You will work with clients of all ages, utilizing a trauma-informed approach and evidence-based practices to foster healing and resilience. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be essential in driving successful treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong understanding of therapeutic interventions and client care.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n
• Knowledge of co-occurring conditions, including addiction disorders and how they impact mental health.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature, essential for building therapeutic relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with marginalized populations or within a community health setting.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Knowledge of pharmacological interventions and their implications for mental health treatment.
