Work Environment\n

This position is designed for flexibility, allowing you to work remotely while delivering in-home therapy and participating in outpatient office services. You will collaborate frequently with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, which emphasizes a supportive, team-oriented work culture. Although the majority of sessions are conducted via telehealth, you may also conduct or facilitate group sessions at the outpatient facility, depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in clients' homes and through our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans focused on enhancing coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation for children and families.
\n
• Deliver intensive in-community services aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.
\n
• Empower youth and their caregivers by improving decision-making skills to effectively manage in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
\n
• Facilitate two-way communication by collaborating with other professionals involved in the client's care, attending monthly team meetings to discuss strategies and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on a diverse population of children aged 3-20 years with various developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will work closely with their families, providing support to primary caregivers and introducing mechanisms for behavioral management. This role emphasizes culturally competent care, and proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly valued as it broadens the accessibility of services to our bilingual clientele.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.

• This role requires availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 PM, with flexibility for additional weekend hours.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are essential for home visits.
