Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and reviews of medical histories to assess health status and determine necessary interventions.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to assist in accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute health conditions, employing evidence-based practices in treatment decisions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, ensuring tailored approaches to meet individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications while monitoring their effectiveness, adjusting as necessary based on patient responses.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive health measures, and wellness strategies.
• Oversee patient care protocols, continually assessing the overall health and wellness of patients under your care.
• Engage in continuous professional development, including attending workshops and contributing to medical research within the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Surgical Center serves a diverse patient base from the Bronx and surrounding areas. We cater to various age groups and backgrounds, focusing on acute health issues and preventive care transitions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of our community and deliver culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, enhanced by a compassionate approach to patient care.
• A solid work ethic and a strong desire to contribute to a team-focused, performance-driven health system.
• A DEA registration number is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing patient information effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in developing treatment protocols for chronic disease management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
