Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite within an assisted living facility located in Towson, Maryland. Our facility offers a supportive and collaborative environment, where healthcare professionals can thrive while delivering essential care. The role entails a regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m. Participation in community health fairs and outreach events during weekends is expected, instilling a sense of community and dedication to public health.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough health assessments and screenings for residents and families, ensuring early detection and intervention for medical issues.
• Diagnose both acute and chronic conditions, developing comprehensive treatment plans that emphasize preventive care and health promotion.
• Engage with local organizations to create and implement health education programs that respond to community needs, resulting in improved health literacy.
• Deliver culturally sensitive healthcare, advocating for patients’ rights and facilitating access to necessary healthcare services.
• Oversee referrals and coordinate follow-up care to maintain continuity and quality in patient care, adjusting strategies based on patients’ evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, adhering to state regulations and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve an elderly population residing within the assisted living facility, many of whom may have chronic health conditions requiring active management. This role is particularly focused on fostering relationships with underserved groups and addressing disparities in healthcare access, thereby enriching the health and wellness of the community at large.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification with an active state nursing license; adherence to all applicable professional standards and regulations.
• A Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution, ensuring a high level of clinical competence.
• At least three years of hands-on clinical experience, with a preference for backgrounds in community health or public health settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 180,000 to 200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
