Work Environment

This position is based onsite, primarily in the homes of patients across Dulles, Virginia. As a Physical Therapist at Serenity, you will have the flexibility to create your own schedule from Monday to Friday, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while delivering crucial therapy services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations due to injury, disease, or surgery.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, assisted devices, and educational support.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition or treatment goals diligently.
• Regularly reevaluate and adjust treatment plans to meet the evolving needs and progress of each patient.
• Provide training and educational resources to patients, family members, and caregivers to ensure effective implementation of therapy goals outside of session hours.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, staying updated with the latest research, and participating in professional communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Serenity, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children and adults recovering from various conditions, such as post-operative recovery, neurological disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. You will collaborate closely with patients and their families to ensure that therapy is personalized, empathetic, and conducive to effective recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate treatment plans and educate patients effectively.
• Proficiency in computer-based documentation and telehealth tools.
• A passion for patient care and the ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical or home care setting.
• Experience with various patient demographics and conditions, including geriatrics and sports rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of assistive devices and technologies that promote independence in daily activities.

Compensation and Benefits

Serenity Physical Therapist offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
