Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents.

• Deliver crisis intervention strategies and immediate support during critical mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, available treatment modalities, and relevant community resources.

• Maintain documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing training opportunities to refine clinical skills and approaches.

• Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices within child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position revolves around working with children and adolescents aged between 5 to 17 who may be grappling with a range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. You will provide individualized care aiming not only to alleviate symptoms but also to foster long-term resilience and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in the state of Georgia as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.

• In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Experience providing both individual and family therapy to young clients, demonstrating strong therapeutic skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing empathy and respect in all client interactions.

• Technology proficiency, particularly in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of practical experience working directly in child and adolescent mental health counseling or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits\n
