Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities—to effectively address a wide range of mental health issues.

• Work collaboratively with school staff, case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for students, including coordinating treatment goals and progress monitoring.

• Respond effectively to crisis situations by providing immediate evaluation and intervention to students in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Participate in community outreach programs and educational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness in schools and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health topics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is primarily on children and adolescents in school settings, addressing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and developmental disorders. You will work with students from diverse backgrounds, enriching your clinical experience and cultural competence while making a significant impact on their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A current and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A master’s degree or a doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with diverse client populations.
\n
• Competency in cultural sensitivity and a commitment to understanding and addressing the unique experiences of individuals from various backgrounds.

• Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively and produce timely documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a school environment or with adolescent populations is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of educational systems and practices, as well as familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) will be seen as an asset.

• A proven record of engagement in community programs aimed at improving mental health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
