Work Environment

This role is completely remote, allowing for flexible scheduling that promotes a healthy work-life balance. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at our outpatient community health clinic, you will interact with clients primarily through virtual sessions. Our operational systems ensure that you have the resources and support needed to provide outstanding care, including a user-friendly electronic medical record (EMR) system to manage client information efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to tailor effective treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques that best suit client needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to address a range of issues faced by clients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and integrated care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records through our EMR software, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending training workshops and staying informed on current research and advancements within the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes individuals from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of mental health needs. You will have the opportunity to specialize in various areas such as trauma, substance abuse, family dynamics, and couples counseling. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations related to counseling practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to form rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient mental health settings.
• Specialization in areas such as trauma recovery, substance abuse treatment, or family therapy is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on your caseload and experience.
