Valley Point Healthcare & Recovery Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our telehealth team in Kansas City, Kansas. This full-time, remote position focuses on providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse clientele, with an emphasis on youth and their unique challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients by establishing strong, rapport-driven relationships in a secure and ethical manner.
• Conduct regular client meetings to assess progress, discuss treatment goals, and facilitate discharge planning when applicable.
• Create, implement, and regularly monitor personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's individual needs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress notes for each client session, ensuring that all records are precise and up-to-date.
• Perform initial intake assessments to evaluate and understand new clients' mental health needs.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, engaging clients in therapeutic techniques and interventions aimed at promoting their recovery.
• Engage in regular individual supervision, promoting professional growth and clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and effectively address the client's mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on youth clients, addressing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. The clinician will employ evidence-based practices to foster a safe environment where clients can express their thoughts and feelings, ultimately leading them toward healthier coping mechanisms and improved outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas.
• Ability to meet the credentialing requirements necessary for effective clinical practice within telehealth environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster client relationships through active listening and compassionate support.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Previous involvement in conducting assessments, diagnoses, and providing both individual and group therapy.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) software and basic keyboarding capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits
