Work Environment

This role will be set within a community health clinic model, allowing counselors to work directly with clients seeking outpatient services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that align with their distinct mental health needs.
• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, accommodating various client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Utilize multiple therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address clients' specific challenges.
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, complying with ethical standards and legal requirements to uphold the organization’s integrity.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed about current advancements in mental health research through workshops and training programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including those dealing with trauma, substance abuse, relationship challenges, and mental health disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• At least two years of professional experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or community setting.
• Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and counseling regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish therapeutic rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized knowledge or experience in trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, or couples and family therapy is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload management.
