Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients, understanding their psychological, emotional, and social needs to formulate unique treatment plans that promote positive outcomes.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and solution-focused strategies tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all client interactions and progress notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safeguarding client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to offer an integrated treatment approach that addresses the well-being of the entire family unit.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending workshops and conferences, to remain informed about the latest advancements in counseling practices and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC with Wise Family and Parenting Counseling Services, you will be working with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, relationship conflicts, and trauma. Your compassionate approach and ability to establish rapport will be essential in helping clients feel safe and understood as they navigate their unique challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling role, demonstrating expertise in therapeutic intervention and client management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and practices, including trauma-informed care and family systems theory.
• Experience in a community health setting or telehealth counseling, with familiarity in navigating virtual tools and documentation requirements.
• Ability to understand and respond to the unique mental health needs of a diverse population.

Compensation and Benefits

Wise Family and Parenting Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
