Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized therapy plans tailored to meet clients' unique needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive holistic, well-rounded care that addresses multiple aspects of their lives.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect for the client’s privacy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training through workshops to stay current with evolving mental health practices and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily serve clients and families in diverse communities throughout Austin, Texas, particularly those who may lack access to traditional mental health services. You will work with individuals facing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will help empower clients to navigate their challenges and foster resilience in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, ideally within clinical settings.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish rapport with diverse clients.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling.
• Demonstrated history of collaboration within a healthcare team to create comprehensive treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, influenced by your experience and caseload capacity.
