Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, assisting in the formulation of personalized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement tailored therapy strategies designed to facilitate trauma recovery and resilience building, including evidence-based interventions such as EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on processing trauma and equipping clients with coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support for patients in trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, promoting awareness and informed decisions about care.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care, staying current with research and best practices.

You will be working with a diverse patient population coping with trauma and its effects on mental health. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.

Preferred Experience\n
