Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing you to manage your caseload from the comfort of your own home while remaining connected to our outpatient office. Hours are primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients’ daily functioning, employing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Work collaboratively with clients to construct tailor-made treatment plans that cater to their individual needs, ensuring their treatment aligns with personal goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective mental health interventions.

• Provide education and emotional support to both clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders and available treatment options.

• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary, employing outcome measures to track improvements in mental health and functional status.

• Engage closely with psychiatrists and medical staff to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, ensuring integrated care across all facets of a patient’s health.

• Stay informed about the latest research on mood disorders and therapeutic techniques to continually enhance treatment efficacy.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and progress, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with patients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Our patient population is varied, representing diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and requires a compassionate approach to therapy that respects individual differences and empowers clients on their journey to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is essential.

• A foundational knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT, is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional incentives include a sign-on bonus and potential performance bonuses.
