This full-time role offers the unique opportunity to provide specialized mental health care to individuals who have been profoundly affected by trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work remotely, delivering care from the comfort of your home, while remaining an integral part of our outpatient office team located in Troy, New York.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain an understanding of patients' trauma histories, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning.

• Develop individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery and resilience-building, adapting strategies to meet each patient’s unique needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma and learn effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring cross-disciplinary communication and integrated treatment strategies.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to safeguard the emotional well-being of our clients.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in alignment with legal and ethical standards across all patient interactions and interventions.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State is required.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, with a background in trauma-focused therapy being highly beneficial.

• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities and a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders are essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
