Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans using evidence-based practices.

• Implement therapeutic interventions that resonate with the patient’s cultural background and personal circumstances, enhancing the effectiveness of the therapy provided.

• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns, employing techniques that foster resilience and empower clients.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support, utilizing established protocols to assist patients during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health challenges, effective treatment options, and community resources available to them for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards to safeguard patient confidentiality.

• Engage in case conferences and team meetings to contribute insights and partake in cultural competency training.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health therapy and integrate this knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will play a vital role in fostering an understanding of these communities' unique challenges and will tailor your therapeutic approaches to effectively address their specific needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and their treatment, as well as experience applying culturally competent therapy modalities.
\n
• Proven ability to conduct individual and group therapy sessions with an emphasis on inclusive and responsive approaches.
\n
• Strong crisis management skills, with the capacity to maintain professionalism in stressful environments.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, allowing for the establishment of trust and rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
\n
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and professionalism throughout all interactions.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
