Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement and adapt treatment programs that address a variety of orthopedic conditions as well as involve pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine patients.
• Utilize evidence-based care methodologies to provide effective therapies and interventions that improve patients' functional abilities.
• Document patient progress diligently to maintain accurate medical records and help guide adjustments in care as needed.
• Educate and empower patients and their caregivers by providing information on managing their conditions and promoting home exercises.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient recovery through shared knowledge and strategies.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and actively contribute to a positive clinic environment.
• Achieve utilization and productivity goals while maintaining the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, treating individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Additionally, you may encounter patients from diverse specialties, including pediatrics and neurology, allowing for a well-rounded therapeutic experience. Each interaction provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, understanding their unique journeys and contributing to their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program is required.
• Active state license in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions.
• Proficiency in basic computer and word processing skills.
• A passion for creating positive connections with patients and fostering community relationships.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in orthopedic therapy, sports medicine, or related specialties will be favored. Familiarity with patient management software and evidence-based treatment techniques is highly beneficial to excel in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes:
