This position will be performed remotely, offering flexibility while providing essential services to schools in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm, with no evenings or weekends, allowing a consistent routine that supports mental health for both employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of mental health needs for school-aged children and adolescents, creating personalized treatment plans that address individual challenges.

• Deliver psychotherapeutic interventions including individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy sessions, facilitating healthy communication and coping strategies for clients.

• Manage and maintain a diverse caseload, documenting client progress with precision in electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health treatment.

• Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and external healthcare providers to coordinate care, ensuring students receive the necessary support both in and out of the classroom.

• Provide crisis intervention for students experiencing acute distress, employing effective de-escalation techniques and connecting them with appropriate resources as needed.

• Facilitate referrals for clients requiring specialized services, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and inpatient care, when severe mental health issues are identified.

• Screen clients for substance abuse disorders, providing counseling or referrals to help them access local community resources.

• Stay informed about current trends in behavioral health services and adapt practices according to evolving local, state, and federal guidelines.
