Renewed Beginnings Counseling is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is essential in providing specialized therapy services to children and adolescents facing mental health challenges. As a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you will deliver high-quality therapeutic care, utilize best practices, and support the emotional and psychological well-being of our young patients.

Work Environment\n

This is a remote position, allowing flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining direct impact on our young clientele. Our Community Health Clinic adapts to the changing needs of our patients, and you will play an integral role in shaping the remote care experience through virtual sessions, utilizing secure telehealth platforms to ensure effective communication and therapy delivery. Our operation hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs and concerns of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that consider the patient’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and unique challenges.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with a team of child psychiatrists and mental health professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, providing immediate care to those in need.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to inform and improve care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As part of our dedicated team, you will primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. This includes those struggling with anxiety, depressive disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral challenges. Your role is crucial in providing not only individualized therapy but also in fostering a supportive atmosphere for families navigating these complex issues. Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and corresponding evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering individual, group, and family therapy to young people, with an emphasis on a trauma-informed approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Ability to cultivate trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, creating a safe, therapeutic environment.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the use of telehealth technologies.

• Collaboration skills to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with a background in child and adolescent therapy, especially in a community mental health setting, are highly desirable. Familiarity with culturally competent practices and knowledge of local community resources to support diverse populations will also be beneficial to your success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
